Gopal’s was born in the enterprising thought of S. Hargopal Singh when the first outlet took shape at Phuwara Chowk in Patiala. This was the beginning… Over the years, the sweet aroma of Gopal Sweets spread in Patiala and slowly it wafted through the entire region.
Patialvis wanted more. The outcome was the second outlet at the Leela Bhawan. In 1999 came the first self-service multi-cuisine restaurant, which was a path-breaking development and an instant success.
Meanwhile, Chandigarh too had grown up as a city of people with refined tastes and a preference for finer, subtler and sweeter things of life. In 2005, Gopal’s opened its first outlet in Sector 8 of the City Beautiful. Understanding the needs and demands of its guests, the chain set up an outlet at the downtown Sector 35 as well. Soon, it became the favourite eating joint and a takeaway outlet of the young and old alike, who get together in large numbers to savour delicacies from a variety of cuisines. This was followed with an exclusive wedding outlet at Panchkula in 2005. To meet the growing demand of students and patrons of the northern sectors of Chandigarh, the Sector 15 outlet is the latest sweet destination.
Though its cuisine has evolved with the changing customer preferences and lifestyle, the time-tested and traditional recipes that gives Gopal’s the unique and unmatched taste and flavor remained the same. It brings back fond memories of a bygone era.

The chain has special tie-ups with caterers and select hotels for supply of sweets and milk products.
